As a little boy I remember looking forward to Christmas. I would always get excited while anticipating Christmas morning. Like everyone else I wanted presents under the tree. However, I was always aware of the reason for Christmas. It was a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Back then no one advertised for Christmas until after Thanksgiving Day. Oh` Boy!, things have really changed since then.
I know a lot of us will be working during the holidays. In a twenty-four seven profession like ours somebody is always working in their commitment to Duty, Honor and Service. While many of the citizens take law enforcement officers for granted and don’t give a second thought to those of us who are not home with our families. Most of our citizens do understand those sacrifices we make not only on the holidays but on a daily basis. While we are refereeing the domestic issues or dealing with the occasional drunk, most people are celebrating Christmas with family. While they are enjoying a Christmas feast we are lucky if we can find an open convenience store with a microwave that works. I don’t know about you, but I have eaten burritos or hot dogs for Christmas lunch many times. You know the kind you buy that is perfect for the microwave?
I, along with the rest of the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance, appreciate each of you as our members each and every day as you put the uniform on and serve your community. I appreciate you for upholding the ethics that you swore to uphold. I appreciate you for the sacrifices you make everyday in this, our chosen profession. I believe that you make a difference everyday in someone’s life and in most cases you don’t even know it. As each one of you are only a call away from the dangerous elements this job presents to you, you need to know that I too am only a call away when you need me or the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance. Thank you for the professionals that you are.
So while you are riding around during the holidays remember that someone is thinking about you. I know the sacrifices that you make daily and I am grateful for you. I hope all of your prayers are answered this Christmas. I wish each of you a Merry Christmas and the safest of holidays.
God bless ya’ll,
Andy Miller, President

I want to say I’m glad that we now have a orginization that represents the Law Enforcement Officers, Sheriff’s and Police. I was made aware of your group by a friend and now I’m spreading it around by word of mouth like crazy. As soon as I get my App. in I’ll do more. I was at one time a rep. for the other group for Franklin County and I made lots of contacts and new members through my time. I will now do the same for us as soon as I can. I believe I served on the board as a rep along with several of you in the past. Glad to see you all ok. Anyway Be Alert and Stay-Safe.
Thank You
