There are a lot of choices out there for you to pick from when choosing a law enforcement organization to join. What makes one better than the others? Well for starters you can look at the track record of the leaders. Who have you seen representing officers and the profession? Which leaders have you personally seen speaking up for officers and the profession? That is a good place to start. If you join an organization you want to make sure that you are getting the representation for your money. And I am not talking about promises, I am talking about actions. Many of you know me and my reputation for standing up for law enforcement. You have witnessed me speaking out for the profession and officers.
As you may know, for years I have stood before all our co-workers and beside them to shield and protect them from the very things that threaten our retirement and livelihood. I have been to the legislature and stood before the house and senate to fight for a 25 year retirement and to ask to be treated fairly in a profession that demands and requires so much. In doing this I have built a reputation of fighting for the little guy, folks like you and I. When the tides are rolling against us in this profession we need to stand together as one with a real purpose to represent those we depend on everyday. You now have an opportunity to do just that!
Each of the leaders within the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance have been to City Hall, the County Commissioners, Legislature, Senate, Lieutenant Governor and the Governor’s Office. We have all worked as one to achieve the goals that are good for you, the law enforcement officer, here in the State of North Carolina. To continue our fight for you where it counts the most the very leaders that fought for each of you now have joined an organization that is more accountable to you the member.

With no money being sent out to another state we are able to make decisions that affect the very lives of our officers and families here in North Carolina. Let me say, and I will repeat this time and time again, "NONE OF YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS WILL BE SENT TO ANOTHER STATE!" Anything the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance does will only benefit you and not someone else in another state. Where you spend your money and who represents you should count. All this for being a member of the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance. To put it simply, the NCSPA will be here for you on a moment’s notice for real time issues.
