Better Service!
The North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance is always looking for ways to improve our organization. We feel that the best way to improve is to provide better service to our members. Our members have always been our priority. So by making our services better and easier to access is a priority for us. We have worked hard to improve the newsletter for our members. A lot of you have written us telling us how much better you like the new format. This improvement was driven by our members and their comments.
We are also going to provide our members more options in handling grievances. As most of you know the primary responsibility for representing members has fallen to Rickey and me. Vice President Randy Miller is now available to represent members during the grievance process. Members may contact him directly at 919-819-8226. Randy is a retired homicide detective
from Raleigh Police Department. He is a veteran employee advocate. He has served as a state vice president of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association as well as the former Raleigh Chapter President of the NCPBA. He is a founding member of the North Carolina Sheriff Police Alliance and has many battle scars from advocating for employees on the local and state level. He is a skillful negotiator. Of course members may also continue to call upon Rickey, Sheldon Perkins and myself.
The NCSPA now has challenge coins and will distribute them to our members soon. We are proud of these and we hope that you will embrace them. Please continue to provide us with your thoughts and ideas on how we can make the NCSPA a better and simpler organization.
Remember we are the only local organization. We are based here in North Carolina. All of your dues stay here in North Carolina. We don’t have any employees. All of our officers volunteer their time to serve our members. We aren’t sending money anywhere to provide retirement benefits for anyone. If you want to talk to our leaders just pick up the phone and call us. We are all local. All decisions are made locally.
God Bless Y’all,
Andy Miller, President
