David Blackwelder, Wake County Chapter President

David Blackwelder is a North Carolina native who has worked for various Police Departments in Wake and Granville Counties. Starting as a patrol officer, I transitioned into a Community Policing, Crime Prevention, and Crisis Intervention. I became a School Resource Officer shortly after and became a Campus Police Officer. I coordinated and participated in several grant funded programs, Traffic Safety Coordinator, Police Explorers, DWI Task Force, NCGHSP, and Community Policing Programs. I attended Mount Olive College and Grand Canyon University, receiving degrees in Criminal Justice and Public Administration. I am currently working on a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
